Volkswagen's first fully electric SUV model ID.4 was selected as the 2021 World Car of the Year "World Car of the Year" and at the same time achieved 5 stars in safety tests conducted by Euro NCAP.

The first compact SUV model ID.4, developed on the basis of Volkswagen's modular electric platform, is a proof of how ambitious the brand is in its electric mobility breakthrough.

ID.4 took place at the summit in the 17th World Car Awards, which is among the most prestigious awards of the automotive world and determined by more than 90 automotive journalists from 24 countries. Vehicles that qualify for the World Car of the Year award must have at least 10 thousand units per year and meet the criteria such as being offered for sale in at least two continents.

ID.4 is in one of the most important segments in the world; It won the jury's appreciation with its initiation of the transition to e-mobility in the compact SUV class and its daily usability. In addition to the environmental friendliness of the model, its innovative technologies were also praised.

ID.4 continues Volkswagen's success story with the World Car of the Year 2021 award. Volkswagen, which has achieved success in the World Car Awards before, Golf in 2009 and 2013; Polo in 2010 and UP! He won this title with his models.

ID.4 demonstrated an impressive performance in the independent security organization Euro NCAP security tests. ID.4 was awarded 5 stars by Euro NCAP, receiving high ratings in adult, child, pedestrian protection and advanced safety assistance systems categories. In the crash tests where precautions such as front and side impact and removal from the car were examined, ID.4 achieved a result of 93 percent in the "Adult Passenger Safety" category and 89 percent in the "Child Passenger Safety" category.

Euro NCAP also carefully handles the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Brake) protection systems of the manufacturers to protect road users such as cyclists and pedestrians.

One of the outstanding features of ID.4 is that it offers advanced driving support systems such as Lane Assist "Lane Assist" and Front Assist "Front Assist" as standard in all equipment levels.
