ID.R started to be developed at the end of 2017, and the Frenchman Romain Dumas behind the race car broke his first record in the Pikes Peak International Climbing Race in Colorado (USA) in June 2018.
Then, the dynamic duo broke the electric car record at the Goodwood Speed Festival (GB). In 2019, Dumas scored three more records with ID.R, the ID.R Nürburgring holds the fastest lap record in an electric car at Nordschleife, as well as the overall track record at Goodwood and Tianmen Mountain in China.
