As the name suggests, the Nissan Z Proto is currently not a prototype, ie a mass production model, and in this case, it means that some changes may occur on the model when it goes into mass production in the future.
The Nissan Z Proto, which is expected to go on sale next year, has a biturbo V6 engine. Technical data of the model, which is currently a prototype, has not been disclosed for this reason. However, the engine used in Infiniti models has 400 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. If you remember, the 370 Z had 340 horsepower. Nissan Z Proto with V6 engine has rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox. It was stated that an automatic transmission option will be added to the Nissan Z Proto in the future.
Retro design from older Z models
When we look at the exterior design of the Nissan Z Proto, a design from the old iconic Z Series models welcomes us. While the bright yellow color refers to the first generation 240 Z model, it is a design feature that comes from the old Z series vehicles, such as the long-held hood, rounded headlights, angular front grille.
“Fairlady Z” sign welcomes us on the luggage. The rear taillights and the glossy black part in their middle come from the 300ZX model in the '90s.
When we look at the dimensions of the Nissan Z Proto, the model, which is larger than the 370 Z, has a length of 4381 mm, a width of 1849 mm and a height of 1310 mm.
Modern and simple interior
The interior of the Nissan Z Proto is not as retro as the exterior design, but rather plain and modern. The Z emblem on the 3-spoke sports steering wheel is also a striking detail. The sports seats of the new Z model Nissan Z Proto, which are a mixture of Alcantara and leather, complement each other with the detail lines in the outer body color of the vehicle and offer us a better and special interior. The Nissan Z Proto is just a 2-seat model, like its siblings 350 Z and 370 Z.
Nissan Z Proto's price and launch date
The serial production version of the model is expected to be released and available before the end of 2021. It is estimated that the technical features and other technical details of the vehicle will be announced in the near future.
