Hyundai KONA achieved Top Safety Pick Plus, the highest rating in crash tests conducted by the independent International Highway Safety Institute.

Hyundai was again victorious with a KONA model than a crash test. KONA has won Top Safety Pick Plus, which is the highest grade according to the results of the American independent research institute IIHS. KONA has proved once again how challenging it is by maintaining its design success in the sense of security. KONA also achieved a good rating for occupant protection in the frontal crash test on the passenger side and was awarded the Top Safety Pick Plus with the new generation LED headlamps. In the evaluation of the IIHS for five other crash tests and for the test runs of 20 to 40 km / h, the frontal collision avoidance system achieved a superior rating.

To qualify for the 2018 Top Safety Pick Plus, drivers must have high scores on the front, front cross, side, ceiling endurance and head protection tests on the driver's side of the test. In addition, the passenger side of the vehicle must provide the highest level of protection in front cross-crash tests. Hyundai KONA doubled this claim thanks to its optional anti-collision system and headlights.
