Renewed Toyota RAV4 coming in 2019

The 5th generation RAV4, which was held at the world premier New York International Auto Show, was produced on Toyota's New Global Architecture Platform (TNGA). The new generation RAV4, which is also a perfect city car in addition to challenging terrain, offers significant innovations in terms of engine performance, road holding, safety and driving pleasure. The unique design details that give the new RAV4 a feeling of durability are also touching the senses. The European premier of the new Toyota RAV4 will be built in the first quarter of 2019.

The 4600 mm long new model differs from the current generation in length, but a 30 mm increase in the distance from the axle provides a spacious and comfortable interior, while the front and rear extensions of the body are offset. In addition to increased luggage capacity, the new RAV4, enhanced in functionality with folding rear seats, double-deck luggage compartment and side fixtures, has been increased to 10 mm and 1855 mm.

New Motor Technologies

The new 5th generation RAV4 will have two engine options, one hybrid and one hybrid. These engines will be both more fuel efficient and more powerful than existing models thanks to new technologies developed.

The new hybrid 2.5-liter engine offers more power and lower emissions. Silent operation and a self-charging hybrid motor option make the RAV4 a special place in its class. In addition to the hybrid engine, an all-new 2.0-liter petrol engine with manual or automatic transmission will be offered to customers who require it.

Perfect Driving Dynamics



The driving dynamics of the new RAV4 have also been improved significantly in the four-wheel drive system. Toyota has developed a completely new electric motor for the hybrid version, making it possible to use the power from the car's hybrid system more efficiently. In addition, the second electric motor, which dominates the rear wheels, produces higher torque and reduces both energy loss and fuel economy in different driving conditions. This gives a perfect traction experience on all four wheels. The four-wheel drive system has been further developed for the 2.0-liter petrol engine with the other power option, resulting in increased efficiency. It can be purchased manually or automatically according to preference.
