Volkswagen finally brought the new Touareg to the surface. The new generation Touareg is bigger, lighter and technological. VW, who had excited us with teaser visuals before, eventually lifted the curtain in front of the new generation of Touareg, and his model emerged. The model, rising from MLB, which is the same platform as Porsche Cayenne, also receives most of its trunk equipment from its cousin.



The new generation of Touareg, one of the most important models of VW, has a width of 4877 mm, a length of 77 mm longer than its predecessor, and a width of 1984 mm (+44 mm). The height of the model is 1702 mm to 7 mm lower. The new platform makes the car 106 kg lighter.

Perhaps the most noticeable part of the model is the interior. VW's new cockpit concept "Innovision Cockpit" uses a 15-inch touchscreen multimedia display and a 12-inch digital dashboard.



The air suspension in the automobile, which has been given a better ride thanks to the chassis, will be on the option list. Available in 5 different driving modes, the Touareg will also have a hybrid version of the plug-in, besides petrol and diesel engines. All engine options will be sold with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The model will be offered at the entry level with a V6 petrol engine producing 3,0 lt of 340 HP power. On the diesel front, the 3.0-liter V6 has two options: 231 HP and 286 HP. The most powerful version of the model will be a 4.0-liter V8 engine. In addition to this unit that produces 421 HP power, there will also be a plug-in hybrid version that produces 367 HP power. This option can only be driven by electric motor for 58 km.

The third generation Touareg is expected to be sold in Europe in the summer.
