According to a statement from Toyota, the bZ4X stands out as the first model of the brand's battery-powered electric vehicles.

Adhering to the concept presented earlier this year, the production version of the bZ4X, the design and technology of which was developed, was the first model that Toyota developed from the very beginning as a battery-powered electrician. The new model was also the first Toyota to have a platform developed specifically for battery-powered electric vehicles.

With Toyota's 25-year experience in battery technology in electric vehicles, the world-leading quality, durability and reliability of the bZ4X model has been achieved. bZ4X, with a high-density lithium battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh, can travel more than 450 kilometers on a single charge.

High electric motor and battery performance

The electric model, powered by a 150 kW electric motor, produces 204 PS of power and 265 Nm of torque in the front-wheel drive version. The bZ4X, which has an acceleration of 0-100 km / h in 8.4 seconds, has a maximum speed of 160 km / h. The four-wheel drive bZ4X has a torque of 217.5 PS and 336 Nm and can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 7.7 seconds. The single-pedal operation feature increases the energy regeneration of the brake, allowing the driver to accelerate and decelerate only by using the accelerator pedal.

Toyota, developing its expertise in electric vehicles, has developed the battery in such a way as to give 90 percent of the original performance even after 10 years (240 thousand kilometers) of driving. Thanks to an efficient and effective heating system, the battery, which maintains its genius reliability in temperatures below zero, with a 150 kW fast charging system, can reach 80 percent capacity in about 30 minutes.

However, the driving range of the bZ4X can be maximized with an optional solar panel. These panels charge the vehicle's battery by generating electricity from solar energy with zero emission and zero cost. Toyota estimates that solar panels can store energy to provide an annual range of 1,800 km. Solar panels can store energy while driving or parked.

The car's long axis provides an ambitious volume in the loading area at the same time as the front of the class for all passengers. While the seats are in normal position, a 452-liter luggage capacity is offered.

The Toyota bZ4X also reveals the design advantages of the e-TNGA platform when viewed from the outside. Compared to the RAV4, the bZ4X is 85 mm lower, has shorter front and rear protrusions, and the axis has 160 mm longer dimensions than the RAV4. The forerunner of the general agility class of the vehicle also shows itself with a 5.7-meter turning radius.

Toyota's electric bZ4X is equipped with a third-generation Toyota Safety Sense system. However, with the new multimedia system, remote writing updates for the tool can also be done.
