Volkswagen introduced the eighth generation Golf model in October. Later, GTI, GTD, Alltrack and Variant versions were introduced. Now, Aalman automaker Volkwagen introduced the new Golf R model.

When we look at the new Golf R, the model, which has a more aggressive front design, draws attention with its front bumper and splitter unique to the R family. The long LED strip that connects the two headlights is now turned on directly as the vehicle starts.

The new Volkwagen Golf R stands out with its 18-inch aluminum wheels and blue brake calipers details. In addition, the Volkwagen, which has achieved a nice contrast in the overall design with its matt chrome rear view mirror covers, can be purchased with 19-inch wheels and slick tires suitable for the track.

The new Golf R, which continues to use glossy black touches at the rear, draws attention with its dual exhaust system. In addition, the new Golf R's option list includes the Akrapovic performance exhaust system, which reduces the exhaust system by 7 kilograms.

NEW VOLKWAGEN GOLF R GENERATES 320 HP POWER AND 420 NM TORQUE

The model, which has the title of the most powerful Volkswagen Golf R produced, uses the strongest version of the 2.0 TSI unit, code named EA888. This engine, which can produce 20 hp more power than before, has increased its total output power to 320 hp and 420 Nm of torque. This power can be transmitted to four wheels thanks to the system called 4Motion by the German manufacturer. However, engineers also added the R-Performance Torque Steering System to this technology, allowing the power to be distributed differently to the rear right and left wheels. The new Golf R comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and can be purchased with a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox as an option.

With the R-Performance Torque Steering System, the system is also shaped according to driving modes. The new Golf R has 4 driving modes named Comfort, Sport, Race and Individual.

When you put the new Golf R into Race mode, the engine noise rises and the vehicle becomes evident. Race mode has two different settings. The Golf R now also has a Drift mode. But to turn on this mode, you must first confirm the warning in the infotainment system.

Another mode in the race mode is completely adjusted to the Nürburgring parameters. This mod named Special makes the vehicle more suitable for the asphalt of the Green Hell.

The suspension systems of the new Golf R have also been completely renewed. Around 20 millimeters closer to the ground than its predecessor, the vehicle's suspensions are also ten percent hardened.

TECHNOLOGY BOMB GOLF R

The sporty model, in which we can see the traces of the standard Golf 8 in its cabin, has a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Volkswagen's digital instrument panel called Digital Cockpit Pro comes as standard.

The digital instrument panel allows you to keep the useful information about the vehicle under control while changing its theme according to the driving mode you choose. The instrument cluster also has a "lap time" mode that can be used for racetracks.

The living area, which has embroidered R logos on the head area of the sports seats and seats, presents the colors used in the exterior design in different ways. Users will be able to add black Nappa leather and carbon fiber elements to the vehicle if they wish.

Volkswagen Golf R with widening gearshift paddles on the steering wheel will come with a cool "R" button that allows you to change driving modes. This "R" logo can also be found on the floor mats, pedals and door panels of the vehicle.
