1960s racing spirit on the big screen: Ford v Ferrari!
Produced by 20th Century Fox, the production is about Ford and Ferrari's Le Mans races. In the film, Henry Ford II asks his engineers to design a Le Mans car to beat the Italian team, as they cannot buy Ferrari. After a series of failures, Caroll Shelby leads the project and the Ford GT40, which is racing for victory under Ken Miles, emerges.
Ford v Ferrari stars Matt Damon (Caroll Shelby) and Christian Bale (Ken Miles). Ford manager Leo Iacocca is played by Jon Bernthal, while Henry Ford II is played by Tracy Letts and Enzo Ferrari by Remo Girone. Caitriona Balfe, Noah Jupe and Ray McKinnon stand out in the rich cast.
Jez and John-Henry Butterworth write the screenplay, and James Mangold, who we know from Walk the Line and Logan, is the director. Last but not least, the film will be released on November 15th.
